There are many so called Performance Camshafts available in the market today at half the price of a Chilled Cast Performance Camshaft.

These El-cheapo Camshafts are not designed to handle the stress that is applied in Performance or Motorsport Technology and therefore cause premature failure to the cam lobe areas.

What is CHILLED CAST?
When the camshaft is cast in the foundry, the iron is poured and hardens off very quickly (known as Chilling) this causes the material to form a matrix of carbide on the cam lobe.

This material will cut glass!

 Chilled Cast material is exceedingly scuff-resistant and is the only material for producing Quality OHC Performance Cams.

Please Note with Performance Billet Camshafts it is 100% essential that Valve Spring Travel & Valve Spring Heights are measured and rectified in order to avoid Coil Bind which will cause damage to the Valve Spring, Camshaft Lobe and/or Engine especially when fitting a High Lift Billet Camshaft.
